Corrections to Biography

[edit]

I've made some corrections to the biography here. While the citation to the China Medical Missionary Journal is unclear (it identifies Dr. Kin as a graduate of the "Women's Medical College in New York"), the citation to the Hospital Gazette and Students' Journal specifies that she was a graduate of the Women's Medical College of the New York Infirmary, the medical school for women founded by Elizabeth Blackwell which was affiliated with the New York Infirmary for Women and Children (now Lower Manhattan Hospital), as does the biography at SoyInfo. This school is unrelated to the New York Medical College for Women which was affiliated with New York Medical College. Also, the 1888 graduation date does not appear anywhere in the cited source (the Craftsman); the Hospital Gazette report on her graduation is dated 1885, and the biography at SoyInfo confirms this as the date of her graduation. (Potential COI disclosure: I am the College Archivist and historian at New York Medical College and am editing this page for historical accuracy.) 64.118.223.196 (talk) 17:21, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cool! As a general note, you may want to create an account for a number of benefits such as hiding your IP address, keeping a Help:Watchlist, and having your personal sandbox. Sungodtemple (talk) 17:23, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
