Details of July 1944 liberation

[edit]

It's important that this article include details of the forces who liberated the area. With only my rudimentary Polish, I surmised that the Bataliony Chłopskie was involved, but more complete information would need to be translated into English. I'm watching this page and will see to its editing once the new material is incorporated. -- Thanks, Deborahjay 23:15, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'll try. We must link liberation with Akcja Burza (Operation Tempest) - plan to seize control of cities and areas where German forces were preparing their defenses against the Soviet Red Army, so that Polish underground civil authorities could take power before the arrival of the Soviets. Last german troop (motorized), had an order to destroy village by burn it. When they start July 25, 1944, small flexible group polish of Armia Krajowa Home Army attacked. During the battle, groups of another resistance Bataliony Chłopskie was alarmed and involved. In last, soviet Red Army entered into the village. Bocianski 23:47, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All right -- I did my best to correct now by expanding just based on a quick read-through of your comment. I'll have to come back and incorporate the Akcja Burza, but at least I didn't leave an inaccuracy on the page till the next edit. By the way, I think your English is good enough for you to put the material directly into the article if you prefer, and I'll edit afterwards. --Deborahjay 04:57, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
