Question About Max Speeds

[edit]

should the max speed be put on the table as well or not e.g. British Rail Class 253 max designed speed of 125 m.p.h and max speed reached 148 m.p.h? Wich speed should used? To say yes put the word yes at the front of your comment. To say Not Sure put the word Not Sure at the front of your comment. To say No put the word No at the front of your comment. On the 11th of April 2021 I will look and see if it should be done.--I Like The british Rail Class 483 (talk) 19:23, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

313 current operators

[edit]

Southern has withdrawn their 313s from service, and they are no longer in the timetable from the May 2023 timetable change. I Like The british Rail Class 483 (talk) 16:15, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A source to support that would be useful. Anything in any of the trade or enthusiast press? 10mmsocket (talk) 17:01, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So that didn't take long. Reputable source too. Here you go - https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/23490845.enthusiasts-celebrate-southern-class-313-trains-rail-tour/ 10mmsocket (talk) 17:02, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't give a date but does confirm the intent to withdraw - https://www.railtechnologymagazine.com/articles/class-313-put-out-pasture 10mmsocket (talk) 17:04, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To a lesser extent this, which confirms withdrawal from five routes, which is not necessarily the same thing as complete retirement - https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2023/05/new-timetable-introduces-more-choice-for-southern-coastal-passengers.html 10mmsocket (talk) 17:05, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't suppose you've thought of looking in the Class 313 article? XAM2175 (T) 17:07, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
