Spell Checking

[edit]

I have partly spell checked this article up to the character Hiro Kasai. I possess no knowledge of the game, so I haven't changed any of the information provided by the author 81.157.77.106 21:19, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to merge all the Killer7-related character articles into one list, seeing how most of the characters have very little backstory detailed in the game to begin with and most of these articles have some inaccuracies to begin with. Jonny2x4 03:08, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Con isn't the weakest character. If you're going by health then KAEDE is. It mostly balances out because both Con and KAEDE get critical lock on before everyone else

This page needs some serious cleanup, along with spoiler warnings.

Also I would like to note that I have never heard anything to suggest Dan Smith's envolvement in Union 7.

---

Dan is part of the Union7 political party. It had been stated in-game as a clue to the past. sukotsuto 11:30, 15 November 2007 (PST)

Dan discussion

[edit]

I think that we have the order messed up for dans lives, if you notice, the other charicters were killed by the bloody heartland during their second life. Another point to notice is that dan refers to himself as a Smith in the union hotel, which he would only be after his death and rebirth under Harman (as Samantha Sitbon becomes a Smith at the end of the game). Also, 'Hand in killer7' reveils, after curtis shoots him and he is absorbed, Harman tells Dr. MacAlister that

'In addition to Dan (the persona whose corpse had been absorbed in my presence), another persona exists inside Harman. That persona is named Garcian.'

This shows that he did not have the rest of the killer7 at that point, and it must have come before the union 7 incident. I believe we should change dans profile accordingly

I believe that Dan uses a Colt Python

Individual Character Articles

[edit]

I think each major character ( ie. Harman Smith, the Killer Seven, Kun Lun) should have their own article which highlights their history, details and their special abilities; just to fill out the 'Killer7 characters' category.

Who agrees with me?

Johnny Gagnon

[edit]

Can anyone tell me who this guy is? He sends you letters via pigeon, and in the last letter reveals himself to be in the room along with Samantha and Harman... is Johnny Gagnon Iwazaru's pen name or something?

The plot analysis says that he was Kun Lan's secret weapon, intended to awaken part of Harman's - you know what, just read it. --Shay Guy 21:32, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

James Howell

[edit]

If we're going to cite him (as is the case under Lion) his plot analysis ought to be linked. 67.10.175.242 16:26, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Emir's Death Date

[edit]

I've changed the date to April 28, 1952 at least 2 times, but why do you insist on using the incorrect death date?

http://faqs.ign.com/articles/644/644457p1.html

My name's Holbert, my investigation on Emir Parkreiner lead me to this school. I'm not even sure if the whole thing is even real...it all seems "surreal." I don't know if anyone will believe anything on these tapes, but I gotta tell the truth. Emir Parkreiner died on "April 28, 1952." The registration of residence indicates that he was living with his parents...then who is the Emir attending this school? Have the records been fabricated? The government has gone too far...

Emir Parkreiner died on "April 28, 1952."

Read this paragraph. Play the game. It's April 28, not November 22.

That date is in conflict with the Union7 incident, as well as Emir's age (Considering the discussion below this page). Holbert was puzzled on why Emir died in April 28, 1952 when Emir was attending Coburn elementary school at the time, thus, Holbert was wondering if the documents are fabricated. It had also been said that Emir might've been the one who killed his parents, rather than a car accident. I quote the translation of the canonical source book "Hand in Killer" regarding November 22, 1955 which is the true date of death:

[ 1955 ] "The Union 7 attended a secret meeting at the Union Hotel, which was called "the Yakumo Secret Meeting." They were killed by a serial murderer, though the whole incident was hushed up. The affair was called "Killer7."

On the rooftop of the Union Hotel, Harman Smith met a dying boy with three eyes. The boy was Emir Parkreiner.

Harman Deltahead and Kun Lan resurrected."

Seen at the bottom of the page of: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/919768/38193 (The FAQ creator's plot analysis above the guide, the canon source "Hand in Killer" is below the guide)

November 22, 1955 is the day Emir turned 13, which is also the day of the Union7 incident and as seen subtly in the ending, a full moon day. (That's the relevance of the full moon we see when we load a mission in the game).

Thus, the date Holbert saw was fabricated. The true day of death of Emir Parkreiner is November 22, 1955. sukotsuto 11:45, 15 November 2007 (PST)

Dan's Weapon?

[edit]

I also think Dan uses a Colt Python revolver, not a modified S&W. His gun looks nothing like a S&W. The game does remark that Coyote uses a modified revolver, though. GamerJay 03:32, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know... it looks like a Smith and Wesson to me, just compare these two pictures I found on Wikipedia: the Colt Python and the S&W. The S&W looks like the right one to me, also; Smith and Wesson makes me think that this is a hidden thing that Suda put in the game for the fans. -- AS Artimour 20:00, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Erm... about Emir's birth date

[edit]

"Born on November 22, 1942, died on April 28, 1952.

...

He was 13 years old..."

If he died when he was 9 years old then he couldn't have done anything when he was 13. Since the death date is confirmed, is the birth date possibly wrong? (it should be 1938, because that would place his death when he was 13 years old, right after he did the thing mentioned in the article) Or am I just forgetting something? (I haven't played since before the American version came out)

--

I made a clarification of that in this page. Emir's death is November 22, 1955. The date Holbert saw (April 28, 1952) was a fabricated date made by the government probably to cover up Emir's killing of his parents and his enrollment in the Coburn Elementary school. sukotsuto 11:50, 15 November 2007 (PST)

Dan's Gun

[edit]

Okay, I am sort of a weapons expert, and I'm like 100% positive that Dan's Gun is a Colt Python .357 Magnum with a 6 inch barrel and not a Taurus .44 or any kind of S&W, so I'll make the corresponding change, if no one minds.

Man in the Union Hotel

[edit]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the game shows you flashbacks to the lobby of the Union Hotel, you only see the murder of one man at the front desk, right? On this point, the list is inconsistent:

"Kevin Smith is a 30-year-old British assassin, an albino, and the most silent member of the Killer7. In his past life, he was a bellhop who was ultimately murdered unceremoniously at the front desk of the Union Hotel, by Emir Parkreiner."

"According to "Hand in Killer7", Edo MacAlister is thirty-six years old. He works at the reception desk of Hotel Union. He is originally a character from Flower, Sun, and Rain, one of Grasshopper Manufacture's previous game."

I suppose part of the problem is the inconsistencies that Hand in Killer7 brings up. As I see it:

-there's support for the man in the flashback to be Kevin because all of the deaths of the members of Killer7 are explicitly shown in the higher floors except Kevin's, which could imply the man at the front desk to be Kevin. I've also seen some comments on the Internet suggesting that the man looks similar to Kevin, although this is mostly speculation as Kevin wears sunglasses and the man at the desk wears a hat so it's hard to make an easy visual comparison.

-there's support for the man in the flashback to be Edo MacAlister because from the sounds of it this fact is explicitly stated in Hand in Killer7.

So what's the procedure on this list? Do people generally list stuff from both the game and Hand in Killer7 even if they directly contradict each other, or do people try to find a compromise? Any thoughts? Smooth Nick (talk) 12:04, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

redirect/merge

[edit]

Hello all, As list-of-character articles are usually acceptable for a notable franchise, and this seems to be one, I'd like to hear why others think a pure (or nearly pure) redirect is the right thing here. Do you think that the article as it stands is poor (which I agree with) or that this isn't a topic an article should exist on or something else. If you don't think this is a valid topic for an article, I'm curious as to why. Hobit (talk) 17:15, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The majority of the votes in the AfD leaned towards removing it in some capacity, whether through deletion or a redirect. That should be a suitable reason to keep it as such. TTN (talk) 17:20, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, but yet it was kept. Your first move was to redirect without merging. And what little merging another editor did, was, well, pretty minor. I don't see consenous in that AfD for a redirect. Hobit (talk) 19:11, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it was kept; it was withdrawn, not closed. You're the only one who felt keeping it. The rest either wanted it deleted, merged, or felt that the original redirect was fine, and that there was no reason for the AfD in the first place. TTN (talk) 19:43, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
