The following text was removed from the article:

The second jump was on 30 - 31 March 1951 and was run on similar lines. A formal Oxford v Cambridge event was held and the 2 teams from the Universities were sent to Norway in advance to train for the event. Some 35,000 spectators witnessed the second event, which was hampered by heavy rain.[citation needed]

It is not supported by any reference, and directly contradicts the statements in the BBC article that the event was "never held again". DES (talk) 03:31, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First in London

The BBC article says that "It was the first time ski jumping had been seen by most of the crowd." but does not say that this was the first such event in London. DES (talk) 03:35, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
