"Syrian" should be changed to "Druze Israeli"

The Druze have Israeli citizenship and live under Israeli rule. It has been annexed for 45 years. Sufganiyot (talk) 04:59, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Syrian children

I see my edit has already been reverted. I checked many of the main sources, and aside from the two mentioned (LA Times and Mondoweiss, the latter not really mainstream), none used 'Syrian' in their own voice to describe the casualties. However, if there's consensus on the matter, who am I to argue? While I don’t believe the current version represents the best reliable sources, I’ll go with your version, guys. I think it would have been more appropriate to tag everyone who was involved in the discussion (although unnecessary as we have long move on from it). Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 25 September 2024

This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request.

Change "Syrian children belonging to the Druze community" to "Druze-Israeli children". Druze isn't a community , it's a religion of an Arab minority. Remove "(according to Israel and the USA)" under "perpetrator", as Hezbollah confirmed the attack.

Madjal Shams is an Israeli Druze town. It's not a Syrian town. These kids were Israeli, and spoke Hebrew and Arabic as one. It's a town where a lot of teens choose to ennlist in the IDF post high school. Please correct that, as it's harmful and disrespectful to the Druze Israeli families to be called Syrian, after they escaped Syrian hatred. AnoBamba (talk) 13:51, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
