Hi, I am new to Wiki. I made some changes to Mariah Robertson's page but didn't realize that I have a WP:COI. I ask that others please review the information recently added to her wikipedia page, specifically, Situations, Late 1990's and Early 2000's and Education and see the sources provided so that the autobiography notation can be removed from her wiki page.

Late 1990s early 2000s

In the late 1990s early 2000s Robertson along with sculptor Christian Maychack ran the San Francisco gallery Lair of the Minotaur. [1] The pair curated solo shows by fellow artists such as Keith Boadwee,[2] as well as group shows such as Dot-Gone which "explored the rise and fall of the internet economy" as reviewed by San Francisco Gate.[3]

Additionally, during those years Robertson regularly photographed bands for local California printed magazines. Some of the bands included Interpol and Sonic Youth, for DIW Magazine, Bitesize for West Coast Performer Magazine,[4] and At The Drive In. Ekm1990 (talk) 16:59, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ekm1990 (talk) 18:21, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ekm1990, although this request is headed "Additions to Selected solo and two person exhibitions/performances", the exhibitions you've listed appear to be group shows. We don't normally list those in Wikipedia; as you'll understand, in the case of a really famous artist, such a list could extend to many hundreds or perhaps thousands of entries, none of which is really about the artist at all (you may have noticed that I've removed those that were already in the page). I've declined this for that reason; I'll try to look at the other requests soon, if no-one else gets to them first.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think this person may be WP:notable by our rather esoteric standards. However, the article as it stands is doing a great job of suggesting that she is not. What it needs – far more than it needs a list of shows – is some solid reliable sources with substantial in-depth coverage of her and her work: articles about her (not a show where she had one work out of fifty) in mainstream national and international publications – the New York Times, FlashArt, the South China Morning Post, books published by reputable presses, whatever – but not bio listings (LinkedIn-style), commercial galleries (they're in it for the money, can be trusted to say whatever they think might help them make a buck), or random websites like www.bitesize.net. There are a lot of sources listed on this page, but who is going to wade through them all to see if any are useful? If you can identify a few really good sources, that would help the article to improve. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 00:41, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
