Just how does one expand or enlarge the painting of Martin of Aragon?

[edit]

I find it common on Wikipedia, to see small paintings or photos, etc., accompaning the article, but on most occasions they will not automatically enlarge as is promised!69.92.23.64 (talk)Ronald L. Hughes —Preceding undated comment added 20:52, 17 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Why is there no connection to this site here?

It would seem any connection should go both ways?69.92.23.64 (talk)Ronald L. Hughes —Preceding undated comment added 20:56, 17 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

In 1410, when Martin died, apparently of a lethal combination of serious indigestion and uncontrollable laughter, no successor had been properly designated, initiating a crisis of succession

appears like this

apparently from a lethal combination of indigestion and uncontrollable laughter[3]

I reworded the sentence a bit and the article looks good compared to it. I ran some Google searches on other text as well, with no copyvios found.--NortyNort (Holla) 10:22, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus. It's been over a month. I don't think the proposed title has consensus, though another title might. (non-admin closure) Red Slash 03:09, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Martin of AragonMartin I of Aragon – Most sources uses Martin I. Out of the 11,800 results for Martin of Aragon only 61 results actually refers to the King with the majority referring to 16th century Duke of Villahermosa while 3,130 results uses Martin I of Aragon. This makes sense since he had a son and heir also named Martin and was probably expecting him to succeed as King Martin II of Aragon until his untimely death. Also all the other Iberian language Wikipedia uses Martin I. Relisted. BDD (talk) 00:49, 24 January 2014 (UTC) --The Emperor's New Spy (talk) 02:07, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. All the Iberian language Wikipedias use "Martin I" because it is the Iberian custom. They also refer to Queen Victoria as "Victoria I". How did you possibly conclude that only 61 out of 11,800 results refer to the King? Such a conclusion is obviously wrong, so I am not convinced that the move would be helpful. Yes, the part about the dab page and the part about "King Martin of Aragon". "Martin, King of Aragon" is in line with, for example, Louis, King of Sicily and many others. Srnec (talk) 01:33, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Keep It Simple Stupid, although most Iberian language Wikipedias do have him at equivalents of "Martin I of Aragon", the Catalan Wikipedia has him at "Martin the Humane", so this isn't clear cut. PatGallacher (talk) 20:30, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • If there were a consensus to move away from this title, I would support "Martin the Humane". The use of nicknames for the Catalan monarch is not uncommon to avoid having to chose between an Aragonese or Barcelonan numbering, although that's not relevant in Martin's case, there is the issue of Aragonese versus Sicilian numbering.
