I will be picking up the review of this one - both for the Wiki Cup and the GA cup as well. I will be making my review comments over the next couple of days.

Side note, I would love some input on a Featured List candidate (Mexican National Light Heavyweight Championship) and a Featured Article candidate (CMLL World Heavyweight Championship). I am not asking for Quid pro Quo, but all help is appreciated.  MPJ-US  18:25, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

GA Toolbox

[edit]

I like to get this checked out first, I have found issues using this that has led to quick fails so it's important this passes muster.

Peer review tool
  • WP:LEAD is too short, the criteria is 1-2 paragraphs for articles this size, for Good Articles we should be aiming for two.
  • Is there an appropriate info box?
  • I would suggest moving the picture up next to the lead, yeah it's not an actual MLC but it's as close as we'll probably get

Well Written

[edit]
  • With the article being so short every issue becomes that much more exposed, so just keep that in mind as I provide feedback.
Lead
  • Technically it should be "the Farmer's Free Markets" since you started with "Los"
  • "their short existence" needs a comma after existence.
Background
  • The sentence starting with "However, inefficiency" would be better if you moved "simultaneously" up so it became "However, simultaneous inefficiency" instead.
Operations
  • "after their quota obligations to the state had first been met" you can take out the word "first" since you already state that it has to be after the quota obligation was met.
  • What happened to surplus sugar, tobaccoo and coffee that they were not allowed to sell at the MLCs?
Legacy

In what way are the new farmer's markets similar to the MLCs?

Sources/verifiable

[edit]
  • The sources appear to be reliable, printed books etc. - I would like to see the location of the publisher listed in the citation as well, that's not a deal breaker but it does help compete the info

Broad in coverage

[edit]
  • Well it's so short it's hard to say yes to that part of it. I would like to see more info in here, like how many MLCs were there, that sort of detail. Perhaps something on what they were replaced with in 1986 - did they go back to total state sale only as before 1980?

Neutral

[edit]
  • I believe so yes Green tickY

Stable

[edit]
  • Looks like it, very little actual activity after nomination, mainly copy editing Green tickY

Illustrated / Images

[edit]
  • Just the one, which is appropriately tagged. Green tickY
  • Note - the nominator has informed me that he will not able to work on this right away but be back by mid-April. Not a problem on my part, it sat in the system for this long I'll keep it on hold past the standard seven days.  MPJ-US  21:09, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
