Orphaned references in Mike Gilbert

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Mike Gilbert's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "ReferenceA":

  • From Nicole Brown Simpson: Simpson, O.J.; Fenjves, Pablo (2006). If I Did It (Cancelled ed.). {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |lastauthoramp= ignored (|name-list-style= suggested) (help)
  • From O. J. Simpson murder case: "O.J.: Made in America", Episode 3
  • From Nevada: National Climatic Data Center, Asheville, N.C., and Storm Phillips, Stormfax, Inc.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 21:56, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Does he deserve an article in Wikipedia?

[edit]

Just because he was a sports agent for O.J. Simpson? Was he a notable scientist, artist, politician etc? No. He was a sports agent. Period. In addition, there is question regarding his claims in which he claimed that the gloves did not fit because, on his advice, O.J. had stopped taking his arthritis medicine, which made his hands swell. To be fair to Simpson (which might seem hard to say, I know), this claim was made and refuted during the trial. The defense produced O.J.'s jailhouse medical records to show that he never stopped taking his arthritis medicine, and the medical doctor at the jail confirmed this. Incredibly, it seems ESPN took Gilbert's questionable tale seriously and included Gilbert in a segment on the gloves in their 2016 documentary "O.J.: Made in America". 92.17.198.220 (talk) 21:17, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
