Relationship to FinCEN

[edit]

Is the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) under this agency? If not, what is the relationship?Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 16:26, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, FinCEN is a separate bureau, but both are under the control of Undersecretary of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey. There's a little interaction between the two, but FinCEN seems more focused on domestic sorts of issues, while OIA seems more focused on international issues. -- Folic_Acid | talk  13:54, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know I hate it when someone takes my comments on the discussion page, since they may well be on the talk page because they aren't ready to be put into the article. Still, what you've just said is relevant. Do you think it belongs in the article? If so, do you want to edit it in, or would you like me to do it?Howard C.
