Deletion

[edit]

I disagree with deleting this article - but I think it should be merged INTO some sort of bartending article. --189.148.17.173 20:06, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is already a [wiktionary entry] for 'on the rocks', references to it can be added to drinks related wikipedia articles. In it's current state, this article doesn't really add much to the wiktionary entry, so, unless you (or anyone else) objects I will re-nominate this article for deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ζεύς (talkcontribs) 20:42, 1 January 2007
As per the deletion policy, I created a soft redirect to the wiktionary article for On the rocks. Ζεύς 22:15, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Straight up

[edit]

On this page it says "Straight up" means no ice, yet on the other article page it says it's with ice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_up_%28bartending%29 195.137.64.249 (talk) 22:31, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On the rocksOn the rocks (disambiguation) On the Rocks – This phrase has a clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, which is the way of serving a drink. The other topics clearly derive their names from that meaning. The base lowercase name should be a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to bartending terminology. —BarrelProof (talk) 03:31, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion above amended after remark by BD2412 below. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:03, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
