Quality Scale

[edit]

Now that the album has been released the quality needs to be assessed — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crushedpixel (talkcontribs) 17:40, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Album importance

[edit]

I see that Tbhotch set the album importance to low, I would like to contest this and I want other people's views.

From WP:ALBUMA: {{Low-importance}}: "These articles cover albums that have a low level of historical or cultural notability. Albums with low sales, those that did not chart, or were released only in small numbers may be rated Low importance..." Outrun hasn't been released. Kavinsky is not a well-known DJ, which is proved by his discography. The album can't be mid-class, unless it performs well at charts, wins awards, or it has a cultural notability. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 05:00, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Kavinsky IS a well known producer and this album is receiving quite a bit of media attention, his discography is sparse yes but it is stretched over a long period of time and songs such as Nightcall and the new Protovision are very well known (29 million views on Nightcall video and over half a million on the new Protovision). He is choosing all the songs on a radiostation on Grand Theft Auto V, (which in the last game he had a song of his featured). How is this man and his album not of cultural significance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crushedpixel (talkcontribs) 14:02, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Record label

[edit]

The album will be released on Mercury Records in the UK but after releasing previous singles on Record Makers will he not release it on that too? Any confirmation/references on the matter would be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crushedpixel (talkcontribs) 01:09, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Outrun connection

[edit]

Could another source about the name of the album being a reference to the OutRun video game be provided? The source provided is from French Touch Info which is a blog. Blogs are self-published sources which are a grey area when it comes to being verifiable sources. I would just like to see another source supporting this claim. I'll see if I can find anything in the mean time. ♫ Douglasr007 (talk) 22:49, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just added the review from AllMusic as a reference. Do you think that suffices? Jeferman (talk) 04:34, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization of title

[edit]

Is it OutRun or Outrun? Currently the title of the page and the first word of the first paragraph disagree. I'll fix it throughout the page and move the page if needed, I just need to know which is correct. Spotify, the official MySpace page, and the official Soundcloud page have it as OutRun while iTunes sells it as Outrun. Bafflingly, Amazon has both: Outrun for CD and OutRun for digital download. What a mess. And the cover art is no help since it's all-caps there. Kavinsky appears to refer to it as OutRun oh his official Twitter account. If no one weighs in over the next couple days I'm going to change it all to OutRun. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeferman (talkcontribs) 20:58, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
