the link for scarlet A goes to the old version of the term and there is no infomation concerning the athiest "A" when directed to that link? Literary Origins

It should be noted that the origins of the scarlet "A" come from The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, where one of protagonists in the story wears a "scarlet 'A'" on her clothes as form of identification of what she has done. 131.75.34.70 (talk) 14:51, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
