Speedy delete?

[edit]

This article is clearly about a specific oyster restoration program, Oyster Reef Restoration (http://www.oysterrestoration.com). It reads like an advertisement for that organization. It is confusing, because the specific organization's name is also the generic name for the man-made attempt to create oyster beds for helping oyster populations recover. But repeated references to "our organization" clearly mark this as an article about the single organzation Oyster Reef Restoration, and clearly mark this article as an advertisement. I think it should be speedy deleted. - Tim1965 (talk) 05:17, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of Lead to article Oyster Reef Restoration

[edit]

I did adequate research, and then added a lead article to both improve the format and provide clarity for later information within the article. 72tigers (talk) 18:40, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Relatively neutral, yet slightly pro-oyster restoration due to no mention of possible problems that could result
  • Facts are referenced with reliable sources
  • New info about specific successes (outside of US) of oyster restoration could be included. New York maybe?

Transferring my sandbox draft to article

[edit]

I will be adding the content that I worked on and edited to the actual article to be public for everyone. I will be adding more information on the ecosystem section and how oyster reefs are beneficial to the economy while also providing necessary background information on the species. Additionally I will be adding more information to the techniques section and how the NOAA program helps restore oyster reefs while also providing solutions to help minimize the extinction of oyster reef beds. Lastly I am going to incorporate the goals that is intended for oyster reef restoration. These goals will include what oyster reef restoration wishes to achieve and how these changes will benefit numerous components of life in water and life on land. Examples by Country Edits

[edit]

In order to gain a more global perspective, I have added more information for countries such as Germany, France, England, and Scotland. I will continue to add more information about the current oyster reef restoration projects in these areas. I also aim to add specific information about the impact of these project on surrounding urban areas. Eco144 (talk) 23:29, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
