Sourcing

[edit]

From my talk:

Hi, I'm not very familiar with formatting references; also, there is a YouTube video as a reference. Could you kindly check the page? Thank you very much. JacktheBrown (talk) 7:29 am, Today (UTC−4)

JacktheBrown, these sources are two blogs and a youtube video. None of them help support a claim to notability for this dish. The versions in other languages appear to be similarly sourced or have no sources at all, a google search also pulls up nothing but recipes, and a reference book I have sitting here, Let's Eat Italy![1], doesn't even mention it. I think this dish may not be notable. Valereee (talk) 11:43, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: I have removed the references. What would be better to do? Add the reference you found or request the deletion of the page? JacktheBrown (talk) 11:55, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can nominate it for deletion if you like. Do you have WP:Twinkle installed? It automates the process. Valereee (talk) 11:59, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: should I use my PC for WP:Twinkle? JacktheBrown (talk) 17:08, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I forgot, you generally edit on mobile. Hm, looks like there is a patch mentioned on that link, but I know nothing about it.
Have you done any research in Italian? If you have an are confident this isn't a notable dish, I can nom it if you'd prefer. Valereee (talk) 22:24, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: no problem, I have my PC in another room. But I don't want to do this job today. JacktheBrown (talk) 23:01, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Valereee: if you wish, you can start the deletion procedure. In any case, I have saved the entire article in my sandbox. JacktheBrown (talk) 17:17, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It did have one other source when it was accepted at AfC, to GialloZafferano, which you may want to consider translating to add here from the article at it.wiki. It was also a recipe, but it did include a very short discussion of the dish. Not enough by itself, certainly, and it's strange that the article was accepted at AfC, as the editor who accepted it is highly experienced. Valereee (talk) 12:04, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
