Unreliable sources

[edit]

@Winged Blades of Godric: can I ask you to check the reliability of sources used in the article. I tried to remove unreliable sources and use attribution for Radio Farda (as you said to me before) but user reverted it for two times (1 and 2.Saff V. (talk) 18:08, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The mentioned user is me and I have received a "Iranian politics general sanctions notification" message regarding my edits (reverting Saff V's edits). Based on WP:BIASED: ...reliable sources are not required to be neutral, unbiased, or objective. Sometimes non-neutral sources are the best possible sources for supporting information about the different viewpoints held on a subject. But I noticed that in the part you are removing from the article there is no any Radio Farda as source. Thanks for asking for third party opinion and talk. Gharouni Talk 01:53, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gharouni: As WP:BIASED demanded, Bias may make in-text attribution appropriate, but you removed all in-text attribution which was added by me. You shouldn't do that while you are familiar with this policy. In addition, as WP:BURDEN asked, The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, so, please ask about reliability of All sources that you restored them in WP:RSN. Thanks!Saff V. (talk) 07:22, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JzG: I wonder if you could check unreliable sources (1, 2, 3, 4) that I removed in this edit. I am sure they don't meet wp:rs but unfortunately, the edit was reverted 2 times! Thanks.Saff V. (talk) 09:16, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Saff V.: While we are waiting for pinged users. I have just removed the mentioned sources and requested reference for that part of article. Check my latest edits and tell me what is your opinion. Thanks. Gharouni Talk 10:31, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gharouni:Thanks for removing unreliable sources. In the next step, isn't it better to remove the material with no RS? In addition, as @Winged Blades of Godric mentioned and WP:BIASED demanded, Bias may make in-text attribution appropriate, but you removed all in-text attribution which was added by me. We have to report the articles of Radio Farda with attribution.Saff V. (talk) 11:30, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gharouni: Unfortunately As I checked, three sources (WP, ndtv,copy of wp and Radio Farda don't support this sentence, His death and his parents' reaction garnered nationwide attention, Can you substance your edit?Saff V. (talk) 12:38, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I suggest no more changes to the article as to find valid sources to cover sentences is easy. Some has been suggested at deletion request but needs someone to add them and make some changes. I don't have enough time at this time but it is in my agenda. If you can do it please go ahead. Thanks. Gharouni Talk 22:23, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gharouni: I am sorry, I have no time too. For the second time, Can I ask you to answer the questions that I mentioned above, your provided source doesn't support the sentence and why did you remove attributions?Saff V. (talk) 08:29, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article revision

[edit]

@Gharouni:@Saff V.: I have done some revisions on this article (including deletion of some material for which I found no English reference – I have no mastery of Farsi) and would like to notify you in case you have any objections.--CRau080 (talk) 17:37, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
