Not plaigarism

[edit]

For future reference, I just wanted to note here that there are a couple phrases in this article that were written by Tsacktor (talk · contribs), who is also the author of [1]. So in case anyone ever suspects it, it's not actually plaigarism. Cheers, David Iberri (talk) 20:21, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sufficient

[edit]
Thus PKMζ is both necessary and sufficient for maintaining LTP.

I don't follow how the preceding text demonstrates sufficiency. Surely there are other chemicals there that have not yet been knocked out. MaxEnt (talk) 15:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infusing PKMz into postsynaptic cells produces the same changes that underlie the maintenance phase of late LTP. My understanding is that if PKMz is applied, no upstream molecules appear to be needed (eg, CaMKII, PKA, etc.), which demonstrates sufficiency. --David Iberri (talk) 00:09, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
