Question

[edit]

User:Osps7: What does "and Abdullah Pasha guided me to the governor of Damascus" mean? Is this a quote? Cheers, Huldra (talk) 22:11, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Huldra. I know you're busy, but I guess Osps is even more so, and the article is stuck. It's great that he started it, many thanks to him, nobody else did and it's great to have it, but where do we now go from here? There a lots of issues. Do you know who else might be intetested and able to fix it and push it forward? It's quite an issue all across Levant-related topics. It seems that locals who could don't care much about Wiki, and those who do care can only offer so much. Not being condescendent, Zeus forbid, it's just a constant fact, noticeable in all the work done here. Amazing contributors like Ameer son tend to be from outside. Tiamut stopped before I arrived. Encyclopedias, and then of this open type, are a Western concept through and through.
I'm digressing, but not really. Good luck with what you're doing. Arminden (talk) 22:08, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
User:Arminden; please ask me again in half a year (or when I'm back). I don't have much litterature about Jordan, though (but I guess that could be amended :) ), cheers, Huldra (talk) 23:18, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Entire text: poorly translated & transliterated, needs rework
