Today I took made some major changes to format, grammar, and style of the article. -Awesomewithsauce

I removed "legendary" from Gracie family sentence. King Author is legendary. Not the Gracies. -Awesomewithsauce — Preceding unsigned comment added by Awesomewithsauce (talkcontribs) 22:34, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 4 external links on Relson Gracie. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Improvements to the article

[edit]

I took something of a scalpel to this article as it is largely unsourced and the few extant sources are mostly Gracie family produced. I mostly removed value judgements, rather than historical events. I also shifted every mention of Gracie Jiu Jitsu to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as despite the family's propaganda they don't actually own the martial art.

I also think the image needs clarification. It features two men grappling but is only captioned Relson Gracie, not identifying which man he is nor who he is sparring. Updating the caption to clearly name each man would be a help, but a solo portait photo would be even better.

This article needs a lot of help from someone who is more familiar with BJJ and with appropriate sources.
