Revenue sharing may also refer to distributing media revenue in sports. The connection between parity and revenue sharing is not as described, i.e. the literature has shown that parity may both increase, decrease or stay constant in response to sharing. See e.g. Szymanski and Kesenne (2004) od Feess and Stahler, SJPE.
