Dundee

[edit]

The statement 'In academia he moved to the University of Dundee in 1967' is misleading. It implies he left St Andrews in 1967, but this is not strictly true. As Professor of Materia Medica, Pharmacology and Therapeutics he was based in Dundee while he was at St Andrews as this was the location of St Andrew's main medical school, which from 1954 was part of Queens College, Dundee. In 1967 Queens College left St Andrews to become the University of Dundee and all academics in Dundee automatically became employed by the new University. Other articles for academics impacted by this change eg Robert Percival Cook and James Drever do not suggest they moved to Dundee. I therefore would propose rewording this to make clear what actually happened. Dunarc (talk) 18:59, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
