Review

[edit]

1. Well-written

[edit]

a. checkYI copy-edited in a few places, otherwise the wording is easily understood and contains no grammatical or spelling errors.

b. checkY(addressed) It seems like the information about where the music video was shot and other details could fit better in another section instead of Background and release. Consider moving it to the Live performances section as seen in 22 (Taylor Swift song).

2. Verifiable with no original research

[edit]

a. checkY(addressed) References look good besides number 34, which is sourced to Amy Poehler instead of the person who compiled the article.

b. checkYreliable sources cited inline.

c. checkYcontains no original research.

d. checkY(addressed) Few places need to be adjusted to accurately reflect what the source said

  • "The video features Swift, walking barefoot through a forest in Watertown, Tennessee, wearing a long white gown."
  • "Lionsgate, the producer of The Hunger Games, wanted Burnett to create music that evokes 'what Appalachian music would sound like in 300 years'."
    • source says that Lionsgate and Burnett wanted to create music that evokes...etc, not that just Lionsgate wanted Burnett to create that. Just needs a wording adjustment.
  • She grows protective of her loved ones, entreating them to "Hold on to this lullaby even when the music’s gone."
    • The article referenced doesn't mention the song Safe & Sound, please find another source for this one!
  • Christopher John Farley from The Wall Street Journal described the lyrics as soothing, albeit laced with an undercurrent of hurt and dread: "Just close your eyes/ The sun is going down/ You'll be alright/ No one can hurt you now."
  • "In August 2014, the song was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)."
  • "slightly reminiscent of Belle"

3. Broad in its coverage

[edit]

a. checkYProvides a solid overview of relevant information to the topic

b. checkYArticle does not stray into irrelevant detail.

4. Neutral

[edit]

checkYThe article includes both positive and negative critiques of the song and gives background without including fluff or puffery. I didn't find any undue weight given.

5. Stable

[edit]

checkYThis article is not under frequent big changes and is not the topic of any dispute.

6. Illustrated by media

[edit]

a. checkYImages are used, they do not include copyright violations. The clip included adds to the analysis of the song.

b. checkYAll media is clearly relevant to the article. Captions demonstrate relevance.

@Ippantekina: I'm putting it on hold for the moment, it looks super close to passing to me! There are just a few things as listed that need adjustment. Please let me know if you have any questions! Adri-at-BYU (talk) 19:49, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for reviewing! I'll address the issues shortly. Regarding the music video part, I think the info available is limited so grouping it with "Background and release" makes sense because, well, music videos are part of music release. I think it's really a case-by-case situation to evaluate where to place "Music video". Lmk what you think! Ippantekina (talk) 04:22, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm good with the music video part staying where it is. Thanks for the update! Adri-at-BYU (talk) 15:22, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Other comments are properly addressed now :) Ippantekina (talk) 16:11, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your work, I'll switch it to passing now! Adri-at-BYU (talk) 19:59, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
