Plot: The Escape Vol. 1

The plot summary says that all the people on the train died from the virus except Alec Forrester. In the English translation, the fate of the others would seem to be unknown. On page 109, half the monitor screens aren't working and the ones that are show nothing. Forrester says to himself that they all can't be dead from the virus because he is still alive. Living passengers could have disabled their monitors to keep their movements secret. Areas that show nothing likely would have showed bodies. One reading therefore can be that the fate of the others is unknown at the end of the first volume. Perhaps their status is clearer in the original French? There exists a very much older short story or novel with a train going round the earth. Topic of that is a bit different, but it should be mentioned, I think. Unfortunately I don't remember title or author Tomdo08 (talk) 21:40, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
