"Paramount+" before specials in headers and template titles

[edit]

@Alex 21: I don't see how there could be any confusion that warrants the mentioning of Paramount+ before the word specials here or in the template titles. MOS:SECTIONSTYLE's redundancy bulletpoint, although concerning article titles, seems applicable. The Paramount specials are as of now the show's only television specials, shorts and sketches are not regarded as specials and the word "specials" is not mentioned once in this article outside of its labeled section. There is more than one type of "special", television or not, and thus the header clarifies that it is indeed a television special, specifically on Paramount+. Are you to assume that the average reader would see "Specials", and from that one word, automatically know that we meant television movies?
In regards to shorts and sketches are not regarded as specials and the word "specials" is not mentioned once in this article outside of its labeled section, I point to the verbatim quote of the short that features Cartman attempting to return a dead Kenny to a shop run by Kyle aired during a 1999 BBC television special. It doesn't matter what sort of media we personally believe that the short is, it is specifically sourced as and referred to in the prose as a special. -- Alex_21 TALK 11:20, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's a Monty Python special, not South Park. The Paramount specials are currently the only "specials" in the series. QuestFour (talk) 11:30, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Further in the article, there's this: the concert aired as a special on August 13 on Comedy Central, which was the anniversary date of the show's premiere, and again on August 14 on Paramount+. Another type of special. So, again, there is more than one type of special in any media. This clarifies that the "specials" in questions are ones that originally released on Paramount+. -- Alex_21 TALK 11:38, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think the simple wording of the anniversary concert as a special event prompts confusion to warrant the heading. QuestFour (talk) 12:03, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm picking specific specials, but I'm also talking about the term "special" in general. The header is "Specials"; special what's? The word "special" is primary an adjective, so it needs clarification.
However, I see that you are still reverting throughout this discussion, so it's clear you have no intent to come to any sort of consensus. -- Alex_21 TALK 20:13, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Even if Paramount is to be placed in the header of this article, which I'm very much against per the above, there is absolutely no rationale or prospect for confusion to place it in the templates. We might as well place Comedy Central before episodes in Template:South Park. QuestFour (talk) 21:30, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I support that idea, that's a great idea. It clarifies the different networks. Would you like to implement it? -- Alex_21 TALK 07:34, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it is, and no. QuestFour (talk) 11:38, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then why did you suggest it? If that's the case, then why do we implement it in the series overview table? Surely "Specials" already indicates Paramount+, by your standards. -- Alex_21 TALK 12:06, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@SanAnMan: what do you make of this? QuestFour (talk) 18:00, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful of canvassing. You also didn't answer my question. -- Alex_21 TALK 22:22, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
