Parole?

[edit]

The article makes it sound as if he reneged on his parole. Is this true, or was he exchanged? Nyttend 20:37, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it. Thanks for catching. Hal Jespersen 00:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dates as president at Miss. A & M

[edit]

The article says he began in 1880, but the template at the bottom has 1878. --Andersonblog 13:00, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The dates shown in the text were from our omnibus Eicher reference. The college website has a full list of presidents and I have changed the text and the box below to match that, assuming it is more accurate. Thanks for catching the error. Hal Jespersen 14:16, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gone with the Wind reference

[edit]

Is this the cavalary commander - "Steve Lee's cavalry" - that Rhett Butler refers to (in the book) when he is arguing with Scarlett after she leaves Atlanta with Melanie ina wagon, following the battle for the city? This occurs shortly before Rhett goes to join the Confederates. I'm just curious, as an anecdote...Engr105th (talk) 02:12, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. It would almost certainly have to be. 138.162.128.52 (talk) 16:36, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
