Attack

[edit]

Should'nt there be some mention of him being attacked outside his home in 2006? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Noamshouseparty (talkcontribs) 20:14, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean the 2004 incident, which is referred to in the Personal life section? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 20:54, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah thats it actually, don't think it was there when I last looked so that's fine. Wasn't sure what the year was either but never mind. Noamshouseparty (talk) 09:17, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Must have been a while back that you looked before. It's been in the article for at least eight months...... ;-) ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:22, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

I think it would be better to have a more up to date picture of Bruce in the infobox. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Atlantic2008 (talkcontribs) 21:08, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trophy Pictures

[edit]

Why are there generic pictures of trophies in this article? Unless someone can supply a picture of Bruce actually with one of the trophies, they don't belong in this article. In any case, the Premier League trophy picture says "Barclays". Wasn't Carling the official sponsor when ManU last won the league with Bruce? phreakydancin (talk) 00:08, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I had also been thinking that the trophy images were pretty meaningless, so I've been bold. Kevin McE (talk) 08:52, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Professional foul

[edit]

Back in 1990 wasn't Bruce the first player to be red carded for a professional foul?--EchetusXe 11:01, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Glenn Keeley of Everton (whilst on debut) was dismissed for it against Liverpool in November 1982, so no.Statto74 (talk) 13:39, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Novels

[edit]

There should be a bit more in the article about the literary career of Mr. Bruce. There does seem to be some critical (very critical) reception of his novels. But quotes that appear invented are of no help. --Edelseider (talk) 12:22, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Norwich City section

[edit]

Please could a moderator add the word 'then' in the following sentence from his Norwich section: The following season he helped the club to its 'then' highest ever league finish of fifth position.

This is because while it was then our highest, it isn't true to say it is our highest ever league finish as we finished 3rd in 1992-93.

Thank you! 82.29.133.248 (talk) 19:31, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I have added as requested. Keith D (talk) 21:11, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
