Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Anish M. Nagpal (talk) 04:47, 14 October 2020 (UTC) I am the creator of this page and am yet to add a lot to this article as I myself have the books. I don't know why this page is being deleted or redirected. I oppose this strongly. When I invited people to talk on this matter, no one showed up! What is this? Also, I am to decide on the moving/ deletion of this page, as I am its creator. Suggestions are welcome, but decesions are not. Thank you.[reply]

Anish M. Nagpal, this article was redirected after a discussion, where the consensus was that the article should be redirected to a related article. You do not 'own' an article despite having created it, and it has to meet our notability guidelines to merit a stand-alone article (specifically WP:GNG and perhaps WP:BOOKCRIT. If you take issue with the redirection, the place to make your case is at deletion review. Best, Eddie891 Talk Work 12:36, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You do not WP:OWN an article that you have made. The discussion clearly has the article as not notable. This has been redirected and page protected to avoid being reverted. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:21, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Anish M. Nagpal. If you really, really, really want to work on the article without it getting removed then you actually have a number of options that don't involve futile edit warring - For example you could use the Draft Space to create an article that meets GNG and submit it for review; so long as you can demonstrate notability it will almost certainly be accepted. You could make your case at deletion review as Eddie891 suggested. You could expand the article on R. C. Hazra with well sourced third party commentary until a split is inevitable, at which point someone might even do it for you. And finally, you could always just drop the stick and back slowly away from the horse carcass. Whatever you choose, trying to claim that having created the article gives your opinions any weight at all is not going to get you anywhere. --Paultalk13:58, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
