Deletion of page

[edit]

Ogre,

Subject: Objection to deletion of page: surfing in madeira on 24th March 2009

Thanks for your comments and advice to date.

I have just added the source of the experts on barreling waves being best at paul do Mar. This was in the TIMES NEWSPAPER.

I object to the deletion on the grounds that the page is founded and sourced.

The page is founded and sourced in that:

Madeira is a world class surf resort. The world surfing championships have been held there and Tournaments are held on the island annually.

A film documentary was made about surfing off the island: 'lost jewel of the atlantic'

Madeira is in the 'encyclopedia of surf' too.

I am a new contributor with little experience. You are aware that I have created 8 or 9 pages in very few months. This page has been entirely created by me and all new contributors need time, space, help, understanding particularly when they attempt completely new pages on their own.

New contributors should be praised and encouraged

I hope you review your decision and remove the deletion notice.

You already removed. And it's okay! Please do not feel personally attacked or discouraged. If you find credible sources for you statements, and if these are written in the correct manner (remember an encyclopedia is not about what the world is, but about what credible published sources say the world is...!), then the article is okay. Cheers. The Ogre (talk) 13:17, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
