Proposal: Extend this article to cover TAD Australia-wide

[edit]

I would like to propose extending this article from just the NSW organization to be Australia-wide.

TAD started in NSW, but now there are branches in every state and the ACT. Obviously, any relevant state-specific information would be retained but this seems to be the most straightforward way to fill in an obvious gap for all the missing states. The web site is http://tadaustralia.org.au/. Please make any comments for or against below.--Gronk Oz (talk) 23:38, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It has been over a week with no comments, so I will go ahead and do it. --Gronk Oz (talk) 13:34, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you should have gone ahead and done what the section title and opening sentence suggested: that is, extend the article to the Australia-wide organisation. Sliding in a bit at the end about changing the name isn't the most transparent way to gain consensus. In any case, since the redirect at TAD Australia now has a tangled history, you won't be able to move without admin help anyway, so a formal move discussion might as well take place. I'm guessing it will slide through easily enough, but I know nothing about the subject so I could be wrong. Cutting and pasting ths article contents over a redirect is not a good way to rename an article because the history stays here and the text it is associated with moves elsewhere. @Lithopsian: Please accept my apologies: I did not appreciate the subtleties of it. In trying to avoid confusion that comes from the similarity of the two names, it seems I only made things worse. Fortunately PRehse was on hand to help fix up my mistake - thank you.--Gronk Oz (talk) 00:04, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
All looks good now. Lithopsian (talk) 15:47, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

Some of the state web sites have their own lists of awards, which don't have supporting references:

So the next step will be to determine which ones are noteworthy and then hunt for suitable sources so they can be included in the article.--Gronk Oz (talk) 01:36, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
