Dukedom of Poland or Kingdom of Poland ?

[edit]

Boleslaw III was duke, Boleslaw III left a Dukedome to his sons. Poland from its foundation by Polans in 960s until 1295 was a combined 12 years reigned by kings and majority of time by dukes. Only since the 1300s were there regularly Kings of Poland.

He was a Duke, but the Dukedom of Poland is much less used in literature than Kingdom of Poland (it's even red link on Wikipedia).--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 17:49, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your straight forward answer and the explanation about the use in literature. The Dukedom of Poland should show your explanation in order to educate readers of Wikipedia, who get confused by the mostly incorrect term Kingdom of Poland before the 1300s.
