Notability

[edit]

At the moment, this is an article about an album that may or may not have been recorded.

The second paragraph says "he came across 'a suite named "The Ballad Of Stuffed Trigger"' but not a complete album." Not a reference to the album this article is apparently about, And the source?: "Uncle Willie's Highly Opinionated Guide To The Residents". Nothing against "Uncle Willie", but I don't think he has "a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy"WP:SOURCES, especially in his "Highly Opinionated Guide". Not a reliable source in any sense.

Remember, we need "significant coverage in reliable sources".

So four new sources:

  • 1 clearly mentions the title saying it was "issued...in the early 70's" (quite a trick for an unreleased album). It tells us nothing else about the tape. It is a mere mention, certainly not significant coverage.
  • 2 tells a different story than the first one. Blogs are like that: unreliable.WP:SPS Again, it's a mere mention.
  • 3 is another blog.WP:SPS Again, it's a mere mention.
  • 4 is an apparently unsigned website.WP:SPS "The Gibraltar Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock" does not, to my knowledge, have "a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy".WP:SOURCES Again, it disagrees with the first source. It tells us "The first four releases ... still remain unreleased" which is interesting wording. Again, it's a mere mention.

There might be substantial coverage about this album ...er... demo tape ...um... suite ... whatever this "alleged album" is. I couldn't find it, though. I'll let the tags I'm adding sit for a bit. If notability doesn't clear up soon, I'll take it to AfD and let them decide. Mdsummermsw (talk) 13:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
