Romanji in cast lists

[edit]

Harushiga (talk · contribs) previously reverted my first attempt at removing them by saying that is common in anime articles to do such a thing. The MOS:ANIME says "The character section should consist of brief character outlines, as opposed to a simple list. The length of each entry and inclusion of characters will vary with the character's importance to the story." and says nothing on romanji.

I've removed them a second time because I still don't see how romanji for non-Japanese character names (which is basically every one of the series's characters) adds anything here besides bloat. Unless somebody can point out a guideline I missed, then I'm going to assume it was only added because WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 14:58, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is indeed very common to include Japanese spellings and romanizations thereof for character names in anime articles, but I agree that it's not that useful here, as they're just phonetic katakanizations of non-Japanese names. MOS:JAPAN gives advice on how to indicate romaji, but doesn't suggest that it should be done, and as you say MOS:ANIME does no such thing either.--AlexandraIDV 16:34, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Episode summaries

[edit]

@Dissident93: Are these taken from somewhere? Some of this, particularly the trailing off in the one for episode 7, has the cadence of an official episode summary, and when I google the summaries I find that they are also used on other sites. If it is the case that they are taken from other sites, they will need to be removed and the relevant page revisions deleted for copyright violations. If they actually are original, I apologize for doubting it. AlexandraIDV 16:34, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

They are taken directly from Crunchyroll. If this is still viewed as a copyright violation, then feel free to remove them. I haven't watched the series yet (waiting for it to be fully dubbed first) so I wouldn't be able to help much here. Maybe we could just use the Kiseki wiki as a base? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:22, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's considered a copyright violation. It's possible to use the Kiseki Wiki as a base, as the text there is under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license, but you will still need to provide attribution (you can find information about this here).--AlexandraIDV 20:40, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see, I don't edit anime articles so I wasn't aware they could not be directly copypasted. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 15:16, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lechter Arundel

[edit]

only just getting round to watching this and- max only voiced him in episode 5. not really sure whats going on with the returning game dub actors in this game, but that was not max after episode 5 and was some other guy.you can check epi5 an 6 to see this. they didnt even try and have the new guy sound like max which is jarring upon watching epi5 then 6. with rean, altina, lecther, and i hear a few others who show up later like elliot all being recast what did crunchyroll do to piss off the game's castMuur (talk) 19:52, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

millium also recast https://twitter.com/MichelleAMarie/status/1629227759477342209 i feel like the anime is more notable for half the actors being replaced than the series itself existingMuur (talk) 20:11, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
