October 2007

[edit]

There is no reference of "The Night Riders" as "The Tobacco Night Riders" that I have ever heard or seen, or that I can find now. Also, most of the edit by cloud.angel reads as personal opinion, not quite ready for Wikipedia. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view and/or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:RS and/or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.128.193.34 (talkcontribs) 07:37, 25 October 2007

Felix G. Ewing not Frederick Ewing

[edit]

In the line before footnote 7 under "Causes" subheading the creator of the PPA is named as Frederick Ewing. This is erroneous as his name was Felix G. Ewing from Robertson County, Tennessee. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.93.2.117 (talk) 15:58, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reelfoot Lake Riders

[edit]

A similar campaign, based on the tactics of the Tobacco Night Riders, was waged by locals of Reelfoot Lake against the West Tennessee Land Company, which had bought the rights to the land and water out from under the locals. Should that be included in this article or in a separate one? I have a book on the topic by Paul J. Vanderwood. 66.78.156.20 (talk) 19:49, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
