Wait, how is The Superficial Writer considered anonymous? Unless there was a change in ownership of the site, The Superficial is written by Karl Wang of Monkey Business (http://monkey-business.net/) fame. He originally created a website called Anticlown.com which was, essentially, an amalgamation of The Superficial, Hedonistica.com (now Geekologie.com [Hedonistica.com still redirects to Geekologie]) and funny internet videos (essentially what TheDailyWh.at is now). The celebrity stuff spun off onto it's own site, which was called The Superficial and with the expansion of Hedonistica.com (which later became Geekologie.com), IWatchStuff.com and TheRepublica.com (which was later dropped), the original Anticlown.com website became the homepage for Anticlown Media. - endblink —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.92.164 (talk) 16:12, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thesuperficial.com certainly does fall into the category of "web content." I feel that the fact that I went to this page looking for information about Thesuperficial.com (who writes it, when it was started, whether it has broken any significant stories, whom it is popular with) means something. Only the second of those four pieces of information is currently available on the page, but I'd like to see it expanded to include this information, and I think that such an article it would constitute a meaningful contribution to Wikipedia.

Seconded. NZHC 12:39, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reiterating the feeling that the site is notable for humorous "cruelty". Unlike most gossip sites, 90% of the time it goes in for the kill on these overinflated egomaniacs that are just being idiots, rather than earnestly caring about their lives. --JD79 19:44, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the cite for the "ugly mole creature" remark. I don't know how to put it in proper: http://www.thesuperficial.com/archives/2005/10/19/heidi_klum_has_an_ugly_baby.html —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.199.194.242 (talk) 09:26, August 23, 2007 (UTC) and the cite for "unholy trinity": http://thesuperficial.com/2006/11/lindsay_lohan_paris_hilton_and.php —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.199.194.242 (talk) 09:29, August 23, 2007 (UTC)

If Brendan Loy has a wikipedia page, The Superficial is certainly notable enough to deserve a wikipedia entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.96.37.178 (talk) 03:11, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
