Cocking a snookThumbing one's nose – The seemingly incomprehensible expression "cocking a snook" is unknown in the United States and may well be unknown in other parts of the English-speaking world. "Thumbing one's nose" is an existing redirect, but if consensus prefers one of the other existing redirects, such as "Thumbing your nose", "Thumbing the nose", "Thumbed his nose" or "Thumbing nose", I would support any of those. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 18:18, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Obscene connotations?

[edit]

Please improve the article by explaining whether the gesture has any obscene connotations. I'm still trying to figure out why my grandmother got so angry when I made this gesture 44 years ago. 2601:281:D47E:1920:201C:D587:4410:7D0A (talk) 00:58, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
