No use for Wikipedia unless you can find something that according to Wikipedia's criteria is a reputable source ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources ), and this one isn't one (Ms. Ortiz describes herself as an author, graphic designer, voiceover artist and Tarot reader, none of which equal being an expert on archaeology).
It seems like, the idea of the tub being where the water came in doesn't hold water, if you'll pardon the pun, because unless Barsanti left something rather obvious out of his detailed description, there are no holes in it, it's just a box with a lid - the thing about the water from the storm disappearing suddenly is interesting, but on the other hand it's on limestone and that kind of thing sometimes happens on limestone anyway due to channels being formed naturally by erosion (at least, it does in the Downs in England), so there's more than one possible explanation.
