CREW

[edit]

This article states that CREW is a "progressive" watchdog group. This change was made with the summary: "There are 7 Republicans on the "15 Most Corrupt Members of Congress" list." Prior to this CREW was listed as a "liberal" watchdog group. Logically speaking, if there are 7 Republicans on a list out of 15, there must be 6 Democrats. Simply being the nature of an odd numbered list, does this mean that the organization changes political affiliations if it took off one republican and added a democrat? It appears that the affiliation issue has been raised on the CREW wiki page several times, as of now, in an attempt to provide the a more objective page, I will change it to "self-described non-partisan group" until verifiable references can be added to support any other view. That's even better, as it has since been specifically cited, and http://www.citizensforethics.org/press/kit is more explicit, and so could be a better or additional citation supporting 'non-partisan'. Oh, but check your math; 7+6 != 15! (BTW, I'd made the change as the CREW wikipedia page supported it.) --W☯W t/c 21:51, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
