Hasn't yet played a match for Galatasaray

[edit]

But the first sentence says "he plays for Galatasaray" (22.01.2013). It should at least be "has just signed for Galatasaray" or "currently in Galatasaray's roster" or similar until he actually participates in a match. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.175.87.166 (talk) 09:43, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

FIFA 08

[edit]

I have the Xbox360 version and Sneijder is not left-footed in that game. Can someone verify for the other versions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xboxandhalo2 (talkcontribs) 06:23, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sneijder is right footed in reality —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.73.29 (talk) 17:21, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

npov

[edit]

He has been the most potent player at Real Madrid this year linking up well with Guti and with his demeanor, has already become the fan favourite at the Bernabeu. With the return of Robben, this Dutch combination is all set to enthrall the La Liga.

Somebody has put a sub-heading of Why He is a World Class Player on this biography, surely this is an unprovable and unsubstantiated claim?

how come there's no trace of the fact that real madrid fucked him and robben over. he was bullied out of the team. 91.15.144.75 (talk) 15:36, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well considering he is Dutch his name should be spelt with the Dutch digraph/letter "ij" rather than the i+j in English. Perhaps a blurb about his name being pronounced "Sney-der" rather than "Shnai" or "Sn-eye" that they wrongly associated with him from the former German player Bernd Schneider.

the source for Dutch digraph: http://www.omniglot.com/writing/dutch.htm and http://rudhar.com/lingtics/nlij_en.htm

the source for his name being pronounced "Sney-der": http://ru.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/players/player=57132/profile/index.html

(this is the correct pronunciation in a phonetic language [Russian]. If you cannot read or pronounce Russian then the pronounciation of the Dutch digraph "ij" as "ey" (from wikipedia itself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IJ_(digraph)) will confirm this. It is mentioned in this article as "ei" http://rudhar.com/lingtics/nlij_en.htm and audio clip is here http://www.dutchgrammar.com/en/?n=SpellingAndPronunciation.03 )

Thanks :)

Wesley Sneijder close to signing for Manchester United

[edit]

Manchester United target, Wesley Sneijder has been seen at Manchester airport this morning, with a possible move to United, rumoured to be around £32.5 million, seeming more likely. The Dutchman hasn't quite come to level terms with new Inter Milan coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, and his arrival in Manchester has sparked more speculation about his desire to make a move to the Premier League champions. United director, David Gill was also seen in Milan a few weeks ago, "I met with Wesley, in Milan, and no offers were made. We'll see what will happen. We are still hopeful of a deal," he said when asked about Sneijder's arrival. More transfer speculation is to follow as the 'Sneijder-Saga' continues. 09/08/2011 01:45am

Until he actually sign some contract everything is rumours, same as that he might sign for City, he came to england as he will play against England in a friendly match with Netherlands.

The scheduled match has been cancelled. Also he was seen in Manchester, whereas the Holland team landed in London, where the match was to be played. If the friendly was in London, what's Sneijder doing in Manchester. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Transfergossip (talkcontribs) 19:23, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Wesley Sneijder Started the 2011/12 season amidst speculation of him leaving Inter Milan for England, with Manchester United and their local rivals Manchester City suggested as likely destinations, as well as a return to Spain with Getafe CF, this latter rumour however, died down rather quickly. Regardless of the speculation, Sneijder played in Inter Milans 2-1 defeat to rivals A.C Milan in the 2011 Italian Supercup, held in Beijing, scoring Inters only goal. In the following days, there was further speculation in regards of his future, with Sneijder himself confirming that there has been contact between Inter Milan and Manchester United in regards of his transfer, however at this stage, the talks are unofficial and nothing concrete has been agreed upon.[1]

Transfer Rumors

[edit]

Recent version of the article says that Sneijder plays for Galatasaray S.K. It's a scam. He's still in FC Internazionale. Just change it please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ergulerhan1907 (talkcontribs) 00:03, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wesley Sneijder has not signed any contract with Galatasaray S.K. yet. He will probably move to Liverpool F.C. and Galatasaray managers are just making a manipulation. Please correct his current team as Internaionale cause the information is wrong here. Thanks. Hngmnn (talk) 19:38, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
