Template:BLP living dead/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

Rationale: Quite often local Wikipedias are more diligent in keeping track of life events of their nationals. On the other hand, many Wikipedias have much lower standards about referencing their information. We also know that fake death entries into Wikipedia have become a popular prank. Therefore this template must be used with caution.

If the template is contested, it may be moved to the article talk page.

It may be removed altogether when it is established with due diligence that information about death is nonverifiable, preferably with a notice or discussion on the article talk page.

To prevent reinsertion of the removed template you may leave it commented out, with additional comments, e.g., "Moved to talk page" or "Discussed in the talk page."

There is an optional parameter: language-code. Wikidata is used to query the corresponding article in that language edition of Wikipedia.
