2012 Stratfor email leak

[edit]

Created/expanded by Silver seren (talk). Self nom at 23:31, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

  • Length is fine, newness is fine (nom'd 3 days within creation). Tweaked /hook a little added "by Wikileaks" instead of wordy "after being given to." Though we can probably take out the years frm the hook to...its all on the page dont need inform in the hook, just grab attention. However, while references mostly exist the last sentence is OR/POV without a cite and the qoutes are much to massive (should be cut with the ref then used for interested readers to pursue). Also MOS needs to be used for dates, no "th" and consistency for italics on publisher (as in last sectin). Furhermore, refs need not be bare.Lihaas (talk) 04:46, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
  • It's kinda late, so i'm gonna be heading to bed soon. But i'll fix the issues tomorrow. Other people added other stuff to the article after I made the nomination. Gotta go clean up what they didn't do right. :/ SilverserenC 04:54, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
Cool, no rush ;)Lihaas (talk) 05:06, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
So, long quotes are gone. Unreferenced sentence is gone. Made the references consistent with my initial style in the article of Month Day Year, per MOS:DATEUNIFY. I don't believe there are any "th"'s and I don't italicize the publisher, so that should be consistent. SilverserenC 04:33, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Review: good on quotes, OR sentence and refs. Dates have been cleaned too. I just italicised the 2 outlets in the responses section to be consistent with the page.
One last issue, just need to clean and organise the lead with the 1 sentence paras et al. Also we could remove the dates from the hook to clean it up...detaisl are on the paage.Lihaas (talk) 07:17, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Cleaned lead and used official title. Also the new blurb suggestin and good to go:
ALT1 ... that Anonymous hacked into private intelligence company Stratfor's email system and these emails were leaked by WikiLeaks?
I'm fine with the alt. I've stricken my original hook so that the prep person doesn't accidentally use it. SilverserenC 13:14, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
