Age Against the Machine

[edit]

Cee Lo Green

5x expanded by Bonkers The Clown (talk). Nominated by Bonkers The Clown (talk) at 06:14, 5 June 2013 (UTC).

  • Comment — Perhaps make a slight rewrite to the hook to make clear who he is and that he has a POV: ALT1: ... that Cee Lo Green (pictured) believes his forthcoming Goodie Mob album, Age Against the Machine, will "take hip-hop to a quantum leap"? It's a tad bit on the promotional side - I don't have a problem with it but a promoter might, so you might also want to put together an ALT. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 16:06, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Agree with NBSB, need an alt. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:18, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Still rather promotional. Got anything else? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:54, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Dull. Perhaps something about four African-American singers recording a song about White Power? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:58, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
  • I know it's dull... I was actually thinking about that... But I feared some "It's too Racist-sounding" comment... ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 02:01, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
There we go, hook is better. Now let's look at the article. The image is not used in the article (or the full one), which means it can't be used. Hook is new enough, long enough, and cited. Text is blatantly copied from the sources and needs a good scrubbing (the black power paragraph is the exact same. You should also cut down on quotes, there's too many of them. Article is new enough and would be long enough if the quotes were better paraphrased. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:23, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
I shall blame co editor Koala15 for this one.... ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 02:24, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Well, it definitely needs paraphrasing. You can add an image of Cee Lo to the article too, if you want. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:28, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
  • My apologies, I did not first check for copyvio. I am no longer crediting Koala15 as history shows that all he did was to plagiarize form sources. I will reword it. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 02:41, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

checkY Done. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 02:52, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

  • It's not, it's exact copying and pasting I've warned him, but this article needs a good look for other copyright issues. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:00, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
  • That massive quote in the background section could be paraphrased. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:05, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
  • There we go, looks much better. Good to go with ALT3, although the image cannot be used. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:26, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 03:29, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
I guess in some parts of the world, "the Goodie Mob sing" is correct. But this is an album by a US-based group, so US grammatical conventions should be used, and I think that should be changed to "the Goodie Mob sings". MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 20:34, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
