Death Walks

  • @Tokyogirl79: I'm assuming that Death Walks is supposed to be in bold? The hook isn't cited in the article. Age and length are fine. Refs are OK but look a bit sparse - only the production section is cited. --Jakob (talk) 16:52, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
  • The lead is unreferenced, as is the hook, which is in the lead. --Jakob (talk) 00:20, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I've fixed that, as this was referenced in this source. I could probably also use the actress's Wikipedia page, which asserts that she hasn't been in a film since 1991. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:45, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Tokyogirl79, Wikipedia itself is never a reliable source and should not be used; since you cannot reference that source for the hook information, all you have is the horrornews.net article, which has no detail on how long it's been since Ciardi was in a film. The horrornews.net also does not appear to be a reliable source: the owner/editor is pseudonymous, which could be a problem, but more so, this "article" basically a reprint of the original press release (see the Famous Monsters of Filmland source—they actually show it as a press release). It's therefore a primary source (press release) and so must be used with care. Indeed, the entire Famous Monsters article seems to be derived directly from primary sources, given the sourcing list at the bottom. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:34, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
  • The HN.n article was written by the staff, which is why it wasn't given a specific name. The site is often used as a reliable source and while it doesn't specifically state the year that she stopped acting, IMDb does show that she has no acting credits between 1991 and 2013/4, which is when she was in Death Walks. The Italian WP doesn't have anything between that date range listed either. Her Linkedin also verifies this, but I didn't want to link to that. In any case, just forget about all of this. Not to sound nasty, but this is kind of why I stopped doing DYK in the first place, as something can be pretty painfully obvious in various sources but because it's not blatantly stated in various big sources it's not good enough for DYK. I'm not going to continue to jump through hoops just to try to find this in a news story because none of the other links are good enough. By the time I find it, odds are it'd be declined anyway since it's been so long since the article was created. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 15:33, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
  • I'm translating "just forget about all of this" as "withdrawn by nominator". If that is a mistranslation, please let us know. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:05, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
