United States Navy Rear Admiral John W. Wilcox, Jr. (1882-1942), photographed as a captain

  • ALT1:... that U.S. Navy rear admiral John W. Wilcox, Jr. (pictured) was lost overboard from the deck of his flagship?
  • Reviewed: I do not yet have five DYK credits.
  • Comment: Article expansion completed on May 1, 2012

5x expanded by Mdnavman (talk). Self nom at 16:58, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Expansion checks out. Nice work on this. I've tidied the article to make it DYK ready (rm stub tag; hide 'expansion required' templates; dab) and added one 'citation needed' template; please attend to this. I've checked a good half dozen of the online sources for close paraphrasing and haven't come across anything of concern. Have added a wikilink to both hooks and dropped caps; both hooks are good. I've added a photo to the nomination. Mdnavman has four DYK credits (by the way, that doesn't stop you from reviewing other nominations, it just means that you are not required to do so).
