Template:Starbox observe 2s/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

This template is part of a group of templates that are used to display information about a specific star. The list should always have {{Starbox begin}} as the first in the list, while the list should have {{Starbox end}} as the last in the list. Use of the {{RA}} template is recommended for formatting the right ascension, and the {{DEC}} template for formatting the declination. If the apparent magnitude is not known, it may be omitted, and the apparent magnitude will then be omitted from the infobox. For double or triple star systems where right ascension and declination measurements are available for all components, {{Starbox observe 2s}} and {{Starbox observe 3s}} may be used. This particular template can be used as follows:

{{Starbox observe 2s
| epoch      = <!--Epoch of observation-->
| equinox    = <!--Equinox of coordinates (defaults to epoch)-->
| constell   = <!--Constellation name-->
| pronounce  = <!--Pronunciation guide-->
| component1 = <!--Name of the first component-->
| ra1        = <!--Right Ascension of the first component-->
| dec1       = <!--Declination of the first component-->
| appmag_v1  = <!--Apparent magnitude of the first component (Johnson-Cousins V  system)-->
| component2 = <!--Name of the second component-->
| ra2        = <!--Right Ascension of the second component-->
| dec2       = <!--Declination of the second component-->
| appmag_v2  = <!--Apparent magnitude of the second component (Johnson-Cousins V  system)-->
}}

The following templates are used together and are usually placed in the order listed below.

{{Starbox begin}}
{{Starbox image}}
{{Starbox observe}}
{{Starbox observe 2s}}
{{Starbox observe 3s}}
{{Starbox character}}
{{Starbox astrometry}}
{{Starbox orbit}}
{{Starbox detail}}
{{Starbox relpos}}
{{Starbox catalog}}
{{Starbox reference}}
{{Starbox sources}}
{{Starbox end}}
