"Bias"

[edit]

Apart from general editing, I love reading talk pages of controversial articles, mainly because it will inevitably end up with someone complaining of bias, normally left wing, but often with different flavours, like bias towards "Big Pharma" or "Big Government", or against any other kind of fringe, bigoted nonsense. Whilst this is somewhat amusing to read, it's also quite depressing how unwilling these people can be to learn wikipedia's basic policies, especially on Original Research, Verifiability and Neutral Point Of View. These policies do take some time to fully understand, but they are necessary for the project to function. Anyway, rant over, just something I thought was interesting.
