Tai Ahom (๐‘œ„๐‘œฉ ๐‘œ’๐‘œก ๐‘œ‘๐‘œช๐‘œค)

Tai Ahom or Ha-Cham (Ahom language:๐‘œ‡๐‘œƒ๐‘œซ ๐‘œ„๐‘œฉ ๐‘œ’๐‘œก ๐‘œ‘๐‘œช๐‘œค;/Fun Tai Ahom/,English: Tai-Ahom) is the largest tai community in the Northeast under a larger Tai nation living in Assam and Arunachal. They are descendants of tai man from Yunan pradesh in China at different times. Historically, the 9,000-strong tai thal with Sawlung Sukafa of Daikong, in the Dehang Dai autonomous region of China (formerly east Maung Mao ๐‘œ‰๐‘œข๐‘œค๐‘œ‚๐‘œซ ๐‘œ‰๐‘œฐ๐‘œซ region), is the largest tie-up in 1228, establishing the Kingdom of Ahom (Maung Doon Chun Kham ๐‘œ‰๐‘œข๐‘œค๐‘œ‚๐‘œซ ๐‘œ“๐‘œค๐‘œƒ๐‘œซ ๐‘œ๐‘œค๐‘œƒ๐‘œซ ๐‘œ๐‘œช) in the Brahmaputra Valley and ruled Assam for nearly 610 years. People from Tai Ahom community are seen in Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia, Dhemaji and Karbi Anglong in Assam and Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh. It was this place that became known as 'Ahom' in chronological order. The Ahoms known themselves as 'Noa' or 'Nara'.
