This is a miniproject to work on the Provinces of Ireland. The objective of the task force is to try and make the pages covered under the scope more cohesive, find sources for information where none is provided (or remove unsourced information) and to bring the quality of the articles up to a higher standard where possible.

Scope

[edit]

The miniproject covers the following pages:

The miniproject does not cover the following pages:

Process

[edit]

This miniproject will follow the following process:

Survey

[edit]

All of the articles covered in the scope will be assessed for conventions, discrepancies and areas that require attention. The following is rough guide to what will be analysed:

  • Infoboxes (use the same infoboxes, have the same information, information is correct).
  • Irish language and pronunciation (use the same templates, same format etc.)
  • Lead section (what information is contained in the lead section)
  • Sections (Do the provinces have similar content and sections? Are the headings the same? Are they laid out on the page in a similar way?)
  • Links (see also & external - do they correspond to the equivalent links for the other provinces?)
  • Categories (what categories are included?)

Discussion/Planning

[edit]

Discuss what conventions there are and whether new conventions should be established. Discuss what exceptions to the conventions should exist. Work out what needs to be fixed and participants can adopt tasks. Decide on a deadline.

Execution

[edit]

All participants work towards completing their tasks by the agreed upon deadline.

Revision

[edit]

Go over the plan and see if anything was missed. Bring attention to points that were missed (or just be bold) or anything else that people want to bring up for review. Decide whether to take on any new points or leave them for a later date. If taking on new points go back to discussion/planning otherwise fix anything that was missed in the original plan.

Submission

[edit]

Once the miniproject are satisfied that the objectives have been met then submit the articles covered under the scope into the relevant projects for assessment (see talk pages for relevant projects).
