Dumpster Living

[edit]
Dumpster living has been around aslmost as long as dumpsters have. It is said it started with the homless people of
cities and towns using then as shelter from the elements, it is also belived that children first used these dumpsters
as "clubhouses" and then the trend caught on. The concept may seem simple, but can be quite complicated.

===== WARNING THIS IS FOR PROFESSIONALS ONLY DO NOT ATTEMPT======

How To Do It

[edit]
Now you may imagine that all you do is find a random dumpster and move your things in, well you can try but i would not
advise doing it. What can happen if you do this is that when the dumpster is going to be emptied well your in deep @#$
%. Now the first aspect is to pick a good area, if you want free food a restaurent dumpster may be for you, if you like
the beach one by the beach would be fine for you, every needs are different. If YOu live in a restaurent dumpster it is
likely that a fast food restaurent would be good, due to the food at the end of the day. Most of the other locations
don't matter except for living in a big paper recycling dumpster. Recycling dumpsters are really good during cold
weather and places with cold climates. This is because all the paper can be used as "bedding" and can be very

comfortable, but beware if you are prone to paper cuts this is not for you. Once you have chosen a location it is
important to choose what type, there are the long roofless, the smaller taller ones with a roof, and the pop-up ones.
These are crucial factors as well. If it is in a warm and little water climate a roofless or a pop-up would be great.
If it is cold, you could put a roof of tarps on a roofless. Or just be smart and purchase a taller one with a roof. Now
you do not need to purchase one, it is possible to rent, or just use one without the ownwers knowledge, just make sure
no one eles lives there. Now on to what to do.

What To Do

[edit]

It is important on what method you want to use out of the many. If you tend to be messy or wish to live in in for a
while the "bolt-on" method is for you. This is bolting down all you belongins you wisht o keep and sealing drawers and
cabinets so when the dumpster is emptied it all stays secure. Also, on all furniture you sit or lay on should be

seatbelts so the you do not fall out of the dumpster during it being dumped out. If you wish to live in it temporarly
you should place most of your items if any outside so you can leave the dumpster while it is being dumped. These are
the main methods there are others but i will not list them here, they may be in my book "The Life Of A Dumpster Man"
or " Living In A Cardboard World".
