Thangadu is a Badaga village in the Nilgiri District of Tamil Nadu, India. Thangadu is 18 km to the south west of Ooty, the district capital of the Nilgiris.

Around 450 houses in Thangadu village, all thangadu people belong to the “Haaruva” division of badaga community, In thangadu people celebrating Mahalinga swamy kenda habba, Ranganathar habba and Dhodda habba.
